The online foreign exchange market in Poland reached approximately six billion euros in 2014.
According to statistics issued by Currency One, the growth rate in this area has been continuous in recent years, maintaining a steady progression since 2009. And if the latest predictions prove correct, this is only set to continue in 2015, potentially increasing by 30% over the next 12 months.
Currency One, who own several Polish online currency exchanges, also reported significant turnover within its own businesses, which made more than 2.4 billion in 2014. This is worth over 40% of the entire online foreign exchange market in the country.
Online currency exchange is so popular compared to banks in Poland due to their offering of lower rates.
